Wellness, seen with an artist's eye.
Signal & Cell was founded by practitioner and artist Lissa Feagler, who approaches wellness the way she approaches a canvas or a room: look closely, work from life, and let a few right elements do the work.

Lissa Feagler
Founder · Practitioner · Artist
Lissa's primary goal has always been to create an engaging visual experience. Art was her first love. Her parents enrolled her in classes as a child, where she found her favorite mediums in oil, watercolor, and pen and ink, and collected many awards through middle and high school.
She left her hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, to study fine art with a focus in graphic design at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, then began her design career in Denver, Colorado. There she kept painting, built a side business rendering homes, and was honored with two shows of large-scale abstract oil paintings before the Arts League of Denver drew her back to representational work.
In 2006 Lissa moved to Scottsdale, Arizona, earned an associate degree in interior design from Scottsdale Community College, and in 2008 founded her own residential interior design practice, which she continues today. That same year she began studying at the Scottsdale Artists' School, where she still works under well-known artists. Her oil paintings, influenced by Russian Impressionism, are known for heavy brushstrokes, thick paint and beautiful combinations of color. She is inspired by the beauty of nature and loves to paint from life, especially en plein air.
What a painter knows about feeling well
The principles Lissa brings to every canvas and every client's home are the same ones behind Signal & Cell.
Work from life
A plein air painter studies what's really in front of her. Wellness starts the same way: noticing the true signals of your day before trying to change them.
Follow the light
Light shapes every painting, and it shapes every body. It's why the Journal begins with light, rhythm and rest.
Compose, don't clutter
A great room has a few right pieces, well placed. So does a routine, and so does The Collection: eight to ten products, never a catalog.
Design the environment
An interior designer knows the spaces we live in change how we feel. The best habits are the ones your surroundings make easy.
Bold, honest strokes
Impressionism rewards confident, visible brushwork. Our writing aims for the same: clear, direct and never hiding the evidence.
Keep practicing
Two decades into her training, Lissa still studies under master painters. Wellness, like art, is a lifelong practice.
Four commitments
Evidence over excitement
We cite our sources, describe the limits of the research, and change our minds when the science does.
Habits before products
A good routine does more than any bottle. Products come second, and only when they genuinely help.
Small by design
Eight to ten products, never a catalog. A short list is easier to trust.
Honest about money
If we earn from a recommendation, we say so plainly. It never decides what we recommend.
